Infertility & IVF Support Intensive
Focused psychological support for women navigating the emotional uncertainty, anxiety, grief, and pressure of fertility treatment.
When Fertility Treatment Becomes Emotionally Overwhelming
IVF can require an enormous amount of emotional energy. Appointments, medications, procedures, waiting, uncertainty, and decisions can leave little room to process what you are actually experiencing.
This focused intensive provides dedicated time to step out of the treatment cycle, slow down, and work through what is happening emotionally with a therapist who understands the psychological complexities of infertility and fertility treatment.
THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER THERAPY SESSION
Sometimes You Don't Need Weekly Therapy.
You Need Space to Process What Is Happening Right Now.
Fertility treatment can create moments that feel too significant to squeeze into a typical 45-minute therapy appointment.
You may be preparing for an embryo transfer, waiting for a beta result, processing a failed cycle, deciding whether to continue treatment, or trying to manage the fear that comes with finally becoming pregnant after infertility.
The intensive provides 90 minutes of focused clinical support around the specific moment you are navigating, without requiring an ongoing therapy commitment.
What Happens During the Intensive?
-
01 — Understand
Parent & Adolescent Assessment
We begin by understanding what is driving the school avoidance, including anxiety, perfectionism, social concerns, academic pressure, family dynamics, and the patterns surrounding attendance.
-
02 — Intervene
Focused Clinical Work
Your adolescent receives focused individual support while parents receive practical guidance for responding to avoidance, anxiety, and difficult school mornings.
-
03 — Build the Plan
Individualized Return-to-School Strategy
Using what we learn, I develop a concrete plan tailored to your adolescent's needs, current functioning, and school circumstances.
-
04 — Re-Engage
Put the Plan Into Practice
We use the second intensive session to review what happened, address barriers that emerged, refine the strategy, and establish clear next steps for continued re-engagement.
WHAT THE 90-MINUTE SESSION INCLUDES
-
01 — Understand
We identify what is weighing on you most and explore the anxiety, grief, uncertainty, anger, fear, or pressure surrounding your fertility journey.
-
02 — Process
We create space to work through the thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to process during appointments, at home, or with the people around you.
-
03 — Strategize
Together, we develop practical strategies for managing uncertainty, intrusive thoughts, emotional triggers, relationship stress, and difficult moments during treatment.
-
04 — Leave With a Plan
You leave with personalized strategies and next steps that you can use during the specific phase of treatment you are navigating.
WHEN THIS SUPPORT MAY BE HELPFUL
-
You May Benefit From a Infertility & IVF Support Intensive If You Are:
Preparing for an IVF cycle or embryo transfer
Experiencing significant anxiety before or during treatment
Struggling during the two-week wait
Constantly checking symptoms, researching, or anticipating bad news
Processing a failed transfer, negative beta, miscarriage, or unsuccessful cycle
Feeling angry, betrayed, or disconnected from your body
Struggling with the uncertainty and lack of control inherent in fertility treatment
Experiencing tension or different coping styles with your partner
Feeling pressure from family, friends, or social expectations
Trying to decide whether to continue treatment or consider next steps
Pregnant after infertility and struggling to trust that things will be okay
Fertility Treatment Doesn't Just Affect Your Body
IVF can create a cycle of anticipation, uncertainty, hope, fear, and disappointment that is difficult to step away from.
Hope → anticipation → uncertainty → hyper-vigilance → outcome → emotional reaction
A positive result does not always immediately resolve the anxiety. A negative result can bring grief that feels disproportionate to what others around you understand.
Therapy can provide a place to process these experiences without being told to simply "stay positive."
When a Focused Session Can Help
Sometimes you don't need ongoing therapy. You need a dedicated space to process a specific moment and figure out how to get through what's immediately ahead.
-
Before an Embryo Transfer
You're feeling overwhelmed, frightened, or emotionally flooded as transfer approaches and want a space to prepare without being told to simply "stay positive."
-
The Two-Week Wait
The waiting has become consuming. You're checking symptoms, Googling constantly, catastrophizing, or struggling to function while waiting for your beta.
-
Treatment Setbacks & Loss
Processing failed transfers, negative betas, miscarriage, grief, anger, disappointment, and complicated feelings about trying again.
My Clinical Approach
My Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) training included evidence-based CBT and ERP-informed tools for generalized anxiety, panic, and social anxiety, which can be particularly relevant when fertility treatment creates intense uncertainty, anticipatory anxiety, or fear of another disappointment.
I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, attachment-based therapy, and compassion-focused interventions to help you navigate the fear, grief, anger, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm that can accompany IVF and infertility.
I integrate these approaches as clinically appropriate, tailoring the session to where you are in treatment and what you need most in that moment.
WHY WORK WITH ME
Specialized Support From Someone Who Understands the Emotional Side of Infertility
Infertility is not simply a medical experience. It can affect identity, relationships, confidence, plans for the future, and the way you experience your own body.
My work with women focuses on the emotional challenges that emerge when major life decisions, relationships, expectations, and uncertainty collide.
I provide a space where you can talk honestly about the parts of fertility treatment that may be difficult to say out loud, without judgment or pressure to feel a certain way.
One Focused Session. No Long-Term Commitment Required.

90 minutes | $500
The Fertility & IVF Support Intensive is designed as a standalone focused clinical service.
You do not need to commit to ongoing psychotherapy to book the session.
Some women may find that one focused session provides the support they need during a particular treatment milestone. Others may decide that ongoing therapy would be helpful. If additional support is appropriate, we can discuss options at the end of the session.
What This Intensive Is Not
This service provides psychological support, not medical fertility treatment or medical advice.
I do not provide recommendations regarding medications, embryo quality, treatment protocols, transfer timing, laboratory results, or other medical decisions. Those questions should be addressed with your reproductive endocrinologist or medical care team.
The purpose of this intensive is to support your emotional well-being while you navigate those medical decisions.

You Don't Have to Navigate the Emotional Side of IVF Alone
Whether you're preparing for a transfer, waiting for results, processing a loss, or trying to figure out what comes next, you deserve a space where you can step outside the medical side of treatment and focus on you.
A consultation is the first step to determine whether a Infertility & IVF Support Intensive is the right fit.
Consultations are used to determine clinical fit and are not a substitute for a comprehensive clinical evaluation. Intensive services are available to eligible private-pay clients.
